Leader Guide

A Leader Trader is a verified member of GemHoldings who publishes their live trading strategy to the platform "" allowing other users to automatically mirror their trades in real time. When a Leader generates profits for their followers, they earn a performance fee on those profits.

Leaders are not fund managers or investment advisors under this arrangement. They are individual traders who have been independently verified and have agreed to the Leader Code of Conduct. All follower copy relationships are opt-in and can be terminated at any time.

To be approved as a Leader on GemHoldings, you must meet all of the following criteria:

• Minimum 90-day live track record "" demo account performance is not accepted.
• Positive net return over the verified period (after simulated performance fee deduction).
• Maximum drawdown ≤ 35% over the verified period.
• Full KYC verification "" government-issued photo ID and proof of address.
• Eligible jurisdiction "" must be resident in a country where copy-trading services are legally permissible.
• Strategy documentation "" a written overview of markets traded, risk approach, and typical holding period.

The application process takes approximately 5"“10 business days from submission to decision:

Your Leader profile is your public pitch to 100,000+ potential copiers. Profiles with complete, detailed information attract 3"“5x more followers than sparse ones. Here's what to optimise:

• Profile photo: A professional headshot increases trust. Anonymity is permitted (icon/avatar), but photo profiles convert ~60% better.
• Display name: Use a consistent brand name "" this is what followers remember and recommend.
• Strategy description: Explain your market focus (e.g., "EUR/USD swing trading"), risk philosophy, and what makes your approach distinctive. Aim for 150"“300 words.
• Verified statistics: Your audited win rate, average trade duration, monthly return, and max drawdown are displayed publicly. These are immutable "" calculated from your verified history.
• Risk rating: Displayed as Low, Medium, or High based on your historical leverage and drawdown. Affects the pool of followers who see your profile.

As a Leader, you can configure how your strategy is replicated to protect both your followers and your reputation:

• Minimum copy capital: Set the minimum portfolio allocation a follower must commit to copy you (default: $200). Too low increases slippage impact on your statistics.
• Maximum copiers: Optionally cap your follower count to manage liquidity impact on your trades, particularly for less liquid instruments.
• Leverage cap for copiers: Restrict the maximum leverage applied to copied trades in follower accounts "" independent of what you trade at personally.
• Pause copying: During periods of high uncertainty or system maintenance, you can pause new copy subscriptions without affecting existing followers.

Performance fees are charged on net new profits above the high-water mark "" meaning if a follower had a losing period, your fee is only charged on profits that exceed their previous peak equity.

• Calculation: (Follower's net new profit) × (your fee %) = your earned fee for that follower that month.
• High-water mark: Resets annually on 1 January. This protects followers from paying fees twice on recovered losses.
• Settlement: Fees are calculated on the last day of each month and credited to your Leader wallet within 3 business days.
• Fee rate: You set your rate within your approved tier (Rising: 10%, Pro: 20%, Elite: 30%). Rate can be changed with 30 days' notice to existing followers.

Your most powerful growth tool is consistent performance "" but here are additional strategies used by top Leaders:

• Activity updates: Post regular (weekly) market commentary in your profile feed. Leaders who post updates retain followers 40% longer.
• Social media presence: Share your verified performance screenshots on Twitter/X or LinkedIn. Tag GemHoldings for potential feature placement.
• Respond to follower messages: Leaders with high response rates appear higher in discovery search results.
• Consistent, not spectacular: Followers prefer steady 5"“8% monthly returns over volatile high-return strategies. Lower your drawdown "" your follower count will grow.
• Refer other traders: Use the Leader Referral programme to earn bonus commissions when you refer new Leaders who are approved.

As a Leader, you accept the following obligations:

• Trade your own live account genuinely "" manipulation of statistics or performance window-dressing is prohibited.
• Keep your profile information accurate and up-to-date. Notify us of any material changes to your strategy.
• Respond to follower messages within 48 hours or maintain an informative profile description.
• Provide 30 days' notice to existing followers before increasing your performance fee rate.
• Do not place trades specifically designed to affect your verified statistics rather than generate genuine returns.
• Do not solicit followers outside the platform or attempt to move them to an off-platform arrangement.
• Do not guarantee specific returns in any marketing material, profile description, or follower communication.

Violations of the Code of Conduct result in immediate suspension and removal from the platform. All performance fees earned during a violation period are subject to review and possible clawback.

Your private Leader dashboard updates every 15 minutes and shows:

• Follower count "" total and new this month, with churn rate.
• Assets under management (AUM) "" total capital currently being copied from your strategy.
• Performance fee accrual "" real-time estimate of this month's earned fees, per follower breakdown available.
• Trade replication log "" full record of every trade replicated to follower accounts, including execution quality and slippage data.
